Ralph Miller (born 1954) is a contemporary visual and experiential artist of Nicaraguan descent who began painting as a young boy. He is influenced by 20th-century Caribbean artists, Peña-Defilló (“Papo”), Perez, and Cruz. Growing up in Managua, Santo Domingo, and Miami, he embraced a Caribbean color scheme of bright blues, yellows, greens, and reds. Leveraging his passion for the gesture is the basis for creating decisively-charged and shamelessly whimsical impressionistic works exploring concepts of movement, shapes, and color.

When seen through the lens of his camera, a world of images and juxtapositions emerge. Having earned a living as a professional photographer for many years, Ralph gained an appreciation and quickness for capturing iconic, moving moments, reflective of the turmoil in our lives and the simple moments that linger in our memories for years to come.
